A bit more about me

Whats your favourite medium?

Photography, it can document, it can transform and it can archive a moment in time in the most special of ways, but all forms of artistic endeavour fascinate me even if I lack the skillset to do them.

What is your lived experience?

if you live you have lived experience. I live with bipolar, CPSD and ADHD. Some might say bad genetics... I will never know for sure, but a life of recovery with all its peaks and valleys has taken me to here. I draw inspiration from all people in recovery, and embrace art as one of the most proven self care outlets I have.

What music do you love?

Metal, punk and everything in between!

How long have you been doing artworks

Its been a lifelong journey with fits and starts. Sometimes I get lost in work or lost generally; sometimes I cant just run away to the bush but to take photos, sketch or ponder a 3D creation in my mind at any time, diairze it and when the time is right allow the process to take me back to that place. It remains a mainstay of recovery and distraction from symptoms and an outlet for pain to exit.

How do you find these secret and untouched places?

I look at maps, drive unknwn trails, packraft rivers, cycle the forests and fish the streams. Many a time with my family and friends when the opportunity to explore comes, I will push my 50 plus body into the challenge.Alongside art these are the things of recovery for me, and are often my subjects.
